Dealer Notes

The best adventures in life are not found on a map. You have got to earn the right to call yourself an off-road icon. The 2016 Toyota 4Runner brings over three decades of proven capability to your next adventure, so it has the stuff you can depend on to help you escape the city â€" and get back if you so desire. A powerful V6 and reinforced body-on-frame construction give the strength you need to tackle the challenges found in the wild, and aggressive styling helps earn the respect of whatever you find out there, too. And with its spacious interior 4Runner helps make roughing it a little less rough. It is time to start making the next great campfire story. Lets go places.
Exploring the vast unknown requires a great amount of space for company or cargo. 4Runners roomy interior seats up to seven passengers and has plenty of features to keep everyone comfortable no matter how long the journey, like front and rear 12V power outlets for charging personal electronics, and a variety of storage options. 4Runners split and fold-flat versatility lets you make room for everything you need by folding one or both seats down to accommodate up to 88 cubic feet of cargo.
Edmunds wrote…There are only a few SUVs left these days that utilize body-on-frame construction for serious off-road capability. Not only is the 2015 Toyota 4Runner one of them, but it also offers three-row seating, a spacious cargo hold and Toyotas prime reputation for reliability. If you're hoping to find all of those attributes in one vehicle, the 4Runner stands alone in this price range. It won't give you the fuel efficiency or ride comfort of a car-based crossover, but the 2015 4Runner stays true to its roots as an SUV that is ready for almost anything.

This is a highly under rated vehicle. We love it. We owned a 2004 4Runner prior to purchasing this. The reliability on the 4Runners (at least for us) has been great. Vehicle is on a truck frame so the ride is little different than a crossover but it is not an issue to us at all. We love that the rear window goes up and down. Controls are easy. The one thing, the 4WD selector is in a weird place, right next to the front cup holder. I think a better place would have been next to heat controls, more out of the way. Head room with sun roof is a about 1" less than our older model, but so far not an issue. Backup camera is nice to have. Engine has plenty of power. We have noticed the mileage is 1-2 MPG lower than our old model and whats rated but we live in a very cold climate and maybe it needs to be broke in also. We are seeing 19 MPG HWY & 16-17 average. Not sure we will monitor and see what changes come summer. Seats are comfortable, ride for us is quiet. View area is clear, A-pillars are not overly obstructive.

We have owned a 95 SR5 4x4, 02 Limited 4 x 4 and now own a 2010 Limited with AWD. I keep reading about truck like ride of the vehicle but the 5th generation Limited is on a Land Cruiser Prado chassis. The suspension acronym is X-REAS. This platform has a centrally controlled damping system that reacts to curves, changes in road surface, etc. and rides as well as any Crossover. And it will still climb a tree. Also drive one of the TRD Pro models with KDDS suspension. Off or on road the ride is excellent. This iteration is in its 9th year and still a best seller for a reason.

I hunt every fall in upper MI off road on 2 tracks. Never a problem very sure footed. Hi-way driving was comfortable and safe, dry, rain or snow. Base model is well equipped. My 2nd SR5 premium has sun roof, pseudo leather, w/out the extra seating. Plenty of room with a nice roof rack, heated seats, both electric adjustments.
